These are by far the most beautiful birds to photograph. As you can see by previous post they are my favorite!!
This photo of the duck is really one of my favorites. I just love the colors and the eyes I did not know the name of this duck so I looked it up. I found it quite interesting so I thought I would share.
Hooded Mergansers have a crest at the back of the head which can be expanded or contracted. In adult males, this crest has a large white patch, the head is black and the sides of the duck are reddish-brown. The adult female has a reddish crest, with much of the rest of the head and body a greyish-brown. The Hooded Merganser has a sawbill but is not classified as a typical merganser. They live in swamps and wooded ponds.
This photo was captured at Mastodon State Park in Missouri. I also won 2nd place with SNAP FISH photo contest. This is one of my most favorite one! The colors and the detail is so beautiful:)http://www.FranzsFeaturedFotos.etsy.com
I was blessed last summer with taking of 2 wildlife families. The first one … I walked out to find the nest fallen down by the gutter and no mom to be found:( So I got out the computer and looked up a phone number and called the wildlife bird sanctuary to find out how to take care of them. It was work but so worth it. They did live and fly off . How proud I was “A Mama’s babies all grown up. So I thought I would share these moments with you. I am looking for the pictures of them grown up. Stay tuned!! I hope I can find them:) Look at those mouths and those little beaks !! ENJOY I sure did.

Yet he is rocking himself to sleep without caring for tomorrow’s lodging, calmly clinging to his little twig, and leaving God to think for him.” ~UnKnown
